FAQ

Why should I buy Marvin?

Tony the Tiger says it best… “It’s Just Great!!!”

Marvin's quality, service, and flexibility, far exceeds that of our competitors. At Marvin, we are always improving designs to better suit the way people live, and to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the customer. Our products are built with features like Low E II glass to maximize energy savings and filter harmful UV rays, and an extruded aluminum cladding that’s substantially stronger than roll-form aluminum. We continually advance our windows and doors with the best innovations and technologies, so when we design a custom product, only the best is provided for you.

Do you service the products you sell?

You bet. We have an in-house service department with two factory-trained technicians to service the products purchased at Marvin Design Gallery.

What areas do you service?

If you’re from the Chicago area, you’re in luck. We service the Chicago-land area from Lake Michigan to the Western suburbs, and the south side to southern Wisconsin.

If your project is in Japan, uh, sorry. Japan is not a service area at this time.

Do you install?

We sure do. Installation is available.

How long will it take to get my order?

"Built Around You" means that we don't have pre-built units on a shelf somewhere that we use for your order. Your windows and doors are made when you order them--not one minute sooner. Marvin offers over 11,000 standard sizes, but we are also known in the industry for our ability to accommodate any special need your project may require.

It typically takes 3 to 4 weeks from the time you place your order to arrival. For custom orders, it will take longer. Your Marvin salesperson can best advise you on your specific order.

What is the Warranty?

Your Marvin product is warranted to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship, and comes with a limited 10-year warranty. The insulating glass in your Marvin products comes with a limited 20-year warranty.

If a hug and verbal promise fall outside your comfort zone, rest assured. We have this one in writing.

Will Marvin Windows lower my energy bill?

Yes, to varying degrees, depending on how poor the condition of windows you replaced with Marvin. Marvin Windows and Doors are engineered for energy efficiency. Their wood and wood clad windows are more energy-efficient than vinyl or all aluminum windows. Because every Marvin window is hand-crafted and built to exactly fit your specifications, better fit means less money spent on heating and cooling your home.

For parents of pre-schoolers who think it’s hilarious to leave your windows and doors wide open, this answer might be a wash.
